Full description
Robinson, R., 1987 - 2000, Devon Post-Reconnaissance Fieldwork Project (Un-published). SDV342165.
Site lies in a sheltered west facing hollow in a general northwest slope above Stiddicombe Creek, a side branch of the Avon estuary. No visible earthworks. Other details: Photographs BD 17 & 18.

Part of a rectangular single ditched enclosure, recorded as a cropmark in 1989. Maximum apparent dimensions north to south 45 meters.

A cropmark of a ditch circa 2.5 to 3.5m wide is visible on aerial photographs of 1989 defining a rectilinear enclosure circa 55m north-west to south-east and at least 50m across north-east to south-west. The south-west edge of the possible enclosure is not identifiable as a cropmark.
A second linear cropmark is visible extending to the south west for nearly 40m, immediately south-west of the enclosure.
The date of the ditched enclosure is unknown, but it could be Iron Age to Roman in date.
