Full description
Collings, A. G., 1995, Archaeological Assessment of RSPB Reserves at Exminster Marshes and Bowling Green March, Topsham, 3 (Report - Assessment). SDV298230.
Reference in 1826 to existence of peat beds in this vicinity. Railway engineers estimated it to be some 7 feet deep.
