Full description
Francis, P., 1995, Blackdown Hills Airfield Survey. Dunkeswell and Upottery, No. 65, Pl. 9, Fig. 23 (Report - Survey). SDV312951.
Post Office (USN supply). Construction: cold-rolled fabricated steel arched-shaped ribs forming a span of 20 feet and spaced at four feet centres creating a building 48 feet long. Timber-framed windows fitted flush with the corrugated iron sheeting. Function: originally two huts were erected on this site for use as a post office but only one survives today. Presumably used for mailing letters to families in the United States. Building now derelict and in poor condition.
