Summary

The hollow at hook lake and stony bottom has been extensively worked, with many uncovered spoil heaps. East of the china clay rail track, at the head of hook lane, the workings take the form of deep pits, down to 6.10m, overgrown except for the narrow line of the bottom. Spoil heaps have been thrown up on the sides.
