Site Visit 12/3/1997 by Exeter Archaeology. The site lies south east of Keepers Cottages on the south side of the road running south east from the crossroads at Church Hill Cottages.
The quarrying consists of a series of small scoops cut into sloping ground south of the stream called Dawlish Water. It is now overgrown with long grass and brambles, but quarrying extends for c.40m along the south side of the stream, approx. 10m from the streambank.
The quarry is shown on the 1st edition 6" map (102nw; 1890) and on the modern 1:10,000 map (1992).
