A rectilinear ditched enclosure, 45m by 42m in size, with adjacent annex enclosures a associated field boundaries, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) to the north east of Downs Home Farm. These features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme and are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin. The features are sited within an area described as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
