SX 570 718 Circular area surrounded by rubble bank, interrupted in two places by a narrow trench leading away from the central area to small pits. Small number of small steep-sided pits in vicinity. These appear to be World War 2 mortar emplacements, constructed for training purposes. The pits may have been used to store ammunition. The target area for the black tor emplacements has not yet been identified.
