Full description

Keene, B., 1996, River-rolled Flint and Chert (Worksheet). SDV349476.

Seventeen pieces of yellow/grey flint, three of them probably retouched and one chocolate chert scraper, found at the confluence of the rivers Exe and Lowman. Possibly deposited by the Lowman in spate. The yellowish flint is a type seen occasionally on fields at Pool Anthony and thought to be from local patches of remnant gravels. The chert is similar to much mesolithic material collected from the large site near Crazelowman. Drawings attached.
