Full description

Mcmanamon, T., 16/04/2010, Bampton Council Houses (Correspondence). SDV344561.

Built in 1902, rather than 1904, when the block was known as Dunning's Buildings. They were built by Sir Edward Dunning, who owned the quarries. The name 'New Buildings' was probably first used in 1904.

Mcmanamon, T., 1997, Housing (Worksheet). SDV344563.

'New Buildings'. An L-shaped terrace built in 1904 to house workers from Bampton quarries. The present windows and brick surrounds are a later alteration. On the site of the Barton and two adjacent 17th century cottages.
