Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Hut measures 6.2 metres in diameter. Double and single orthostat wall 1.3 metres wide, 1 metres high. Internal area 30.17 metres. Door lined on both sides faces 220 degrees (south-west). Dense gorse on north-west wall.

Hut circle '3' of 6.5 metres diameter is partly buried with the entrance, next to a jamb stone, blocked by a fallen slab. Located within a rectangular field to the east of the road at 'Kes Tor settlement'. Excavated in 1951-1952.

Centred SX 66528694. Four well-defined hut circles and one possible hut platform, numbered 1-5 in the accompanying tabulation. They lie on the moderate NW-facing slope of Chagford Common 150m ENE of Round Pound. The huts are all terraced into the slope and are constructed from massive upright slabs. They vary in internal diameter from 6.1m to 9.2m and there are no obvious entrances. Huts 1 and 2 and the platform, 5, have been robbed.
Hut 3 was excavated by Fox (Fox, 1954).
Huts 1-4 were previously recorded under SX 68 NE 14.
All the huts are slightly ovoid and the diameters are averages for each hut.
These huts form pat of the Castor Parallel Reave System, surveyed by RCHME in 1991 at 1:2500 scale.
