Plot 646a is recorded as Queen's Acre Coast Guard Station on the Axmouth Tithe Apportionment.

Plot 627 immediately to the west of this building is named 'Look-out Field.' A building is shown in a similar location on the 1st edition 25 inch OS map, and is labelled as 'Whitlands Coastguard Station.' Four 'stones' are also labelled around the perimeter of the plot of land within which the coastguard station sits.
