Site visit 1st April 1999. Stone hut circle within coaxial fields on Halsanger Common. 7.4 metres diameter. Single orthostat and earthwork wall 2.0 metres wide, 0.8 metres high. The southern sector survives as a clearly defined scarp, the north side as a scoop cut into the hillside. The inner facing stones are visible in a few placed. Vegetation: grass and bracken.

Hut circle in reave system on Halshanger Common
A stone hut circle in poor condition located within a neighbourhood group of 16 dispersed huts on Halsanger Common, and the western corner of Rippon Tor enclosure, spread over about 7 hectares amidst the parallel reaves. Some are attached to reaves, though others are free standing. Condition is stable. SX74955 74885
