Circular cropmarks visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s have previously been interpreted as ring ditches of prehistoric date. Reinterpretation of the aerial photographic evidence reveals that the cropmarks are probably not archaeological in origin and are likely to be an effect of the growth of fungus rings. As such they have not been transcribed.
