Linear and curvilinear earthwork banks were visible aerial photographs of 1971 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured from 1998 to 2014.
The visible earthworks largely did not correspond with boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey, but did in part match tree alignments, indicative of the route of former boundaries.
The banks are therefore interpreted as evidence of former field boundaries of probable medieval date that were removed prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
