No archaeological features were noted in this location during the survey. It is probable that the earthwork and cropmark feature described by the above authorities correlates with a landscaped golf course feature, one of several oval or sub-circular pits and terraces visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s. Golf Links are annotated in this area on the 4th edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of the 1930s.
