Summary

The old route of the exeter to bradninch road ran in an almost straight line from danes cross to old crabtree + is shown on the 1756 killerton estate map. The line is marked by a hollow way c7m wide across 'killerton park' from the park railings at sx97309966 to just northeast of the pond at sx97509994. The line is discernible towards the northwest corner of the stable block but is not traceable further north. The road was diverted to build the stable block at killerton in 1778 + this line is shown on the 1801 map. The road was rerouted again in 1812 with a final alteration taking place before 1842 (nt).

The old route of the exeter to bradninch road ran in an almost straight line from danes cross to old crabtree + is shown on the 1756 killerton estate map.
