Cow house at the northern end of a field abutting the river to the north of Hazelwood House. It is in typical South Hams style with a little yard of its own. Constructed of stone with a corrugated iron roof which is much decayed. Presumably the building was originally thatched. Part of the front wall has collapsed. It was originally open-fronted with a central column but two round arched entrances with slit windows above have been inserted. It has thus been turned into a more picturesque building than it was originally. As part of the estate's agricultural history and as a traditional farm building it seems desirable to repair and restore the building. Map object based on this source.
