Full description
National Trust, Arlington Court, Devon (Unknown). SDV339291.
Dam to the Lower Wilderness Pond, Arlington Court. Clay and stone dam crossing the valley retaining the pond. The lower face being a stone with clay bonding revetment standing 2 metres high from the stream bed. Water level controlled by sluice that issues through stone culvert on lower side. Excavated in 1996 and 1997, which showed construction and repair of different periods. Other details: 14408.
