Exeter Archaeology, 2002, Archaeological Assessment of Tottiford to Newton Abbot Trunk Main (Report - Assessment). SDV281233.

Tottiford Mill survived until the 1850s when it was acquired by the Torquay Local Board of Health under powers granted in 1856 and its water supply was diverted to serve Newton Abbot and Torquay. The building had been demolished by 1887. The leat is dry but still visible with a large bore iron pipe.

Referred to in a advert of 1842 as 'Pool Mill, otherwise Toddiford Mill'. The mill is described as grist and flour mills with a bunt and smut machine and two pairs of stones. In 1850 William Stone is recorded as the miller at Pool Mill.

Pool Mill, Hennock SX 805 822. Also known as Tottiford Mill. The mill has gone; probably demolished when the reservoir was constructed in the 1850s. Some history and ownership listed.
