Summary

Mill building is now converted to residential use. Clifford Farm was owned by the Earl of Devon and later by Lord Hambleden; the mill formed part of the estate in 1828 when it was put up for sale. Waterwheel was 20ft diameter and was powered by a stream that rises on Mardon Down and forms springs at Little Woolston and flows north to join the Teign but below Clifford Bridge.
