Full description
Child, P, 2003, Countryside Stewardship: Farm Buildings at the Barton, Poughill (Correspondence). SDV358785.
A cartshed of c.1800 is located in the north-west corner of the farm complex. It has three cob walls and is open to the south-east with a high hipped roof which would have supported a thatched covering. A cartshed of this early date is very unusual in Devon.
