SX 5560 7764 A survey of the small streamwork at King's Ford was started in November 2002 to the south of the River Walkham. The streamwork extends both up and downstream of the ford and on both banks of the river covering much of the narrow floodplain. The main activity on the south bank extends for 150m and was only worked to a shallow depth. The spoil heaps lie as modest parallel banks.
