Full description
Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., 157199 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.
Site visited on 9th May 2002. Leat embankment 1080 metres south-west of Eylesbarrow, forming part of Eylesbarrow Tin Mine. Linear mound with quarry ditches along the two long lengths. The embankment stands up to 1.2 metres high and is covered grass and heather. This embankment carried a leat taking water to Stamping Mill 4.

Leat embankment shown on earthwork plan of Eylesbarrow Tin Mine between Stamping Mill number 3 and Stamping Mill number 4. The leat passed over Engine Wheel 1 with the water re-used on Stamping Mills 1-3 and then into another leat to supplement the water supply to Stamping Mills 4-6.
