Towards the north end of Hense Moor to the southeast of Gullylane Farm the Tithe Map/Apportionment shows a house and garden (Nos 1010, 217) surrounded by seven enclosed fields/plots comprising three orchards (Nos 215, 702, 1454) two meadows (Nos 216, 216a) and another garden (No. 699). The property was owned and occupied by James Griffin. The site was still shown on the Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 Ordnance Survey map (Sheet 47SE). The field boundaries and possible buildings are depicted on the modern Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, and presumably something of the site survives. Due to the density of vegetation the site was not identified during the field survey.
