Summary
Site of a shaft on the ‘ding dong lode’ between the ‘bedford united’ & ‘south bedford’ mines. The survey in 2003 found an open shaft c 7m wide with vertical sides visible to 7m deep. On the northern side of the shaft is a large spoil heap 2.5m high x c12m long x 2m high (buck).

Site of a shaft on the ‘ding dong lode’ between the ‘bedford united’ & ‘south bedford’ mines. The survey in 2003 found an open shaft c 7m wide with vertical sides visible to 7m deep. On the northern side of the shaft is a large spoil heap 2.5m high x c12m long x 2m high (buck).
