Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey, OS 25" (Cartographic). SDV848.

'Bible Christian Chapel' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as a square building with a small L-shaped extension to the west. A 'Sunday School' is shown as two buildings to the northeast at SX78053644.

Chapel, Prawle. School, opened 1848. Early chapels, built with limited funds, resembled farm buildings or cottages. Hipped roof, low square appearance. This chapel remains unchanged.
