Full description

Small banjo-shaped quarry just to south of trackway on northern edge of the Common. Measures circa 35 metres east-west by circa 11 metres north-south by circa 3 metres deep. Not shown on Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 map (93NE), however, there was a gravel pit slightly further to the east (see site 61).
