Site of a 'Reservoir' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as a small rectangualr feature to the north of the road.

A reservoir was built in the 1850s connected by pipes with deep springs on Sherston Farm (possibly Serstone farm to the northeast). The opening ceremony of Bow Water Supply took place on 19th April 1859. The water supply was still in use in the mid 20C.
