Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 59+fig 13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Area of Costean or lode back pits extending from SX42117389 to SX42247386 in woodland to the east of Wheal Maria (see PRN 42207) & north of Wheal Fanny (see PRN 3870). The pits are typically 2m diameter x 1-2m deep 7 some have been excavated as trenches c7m long. A shaft is located at the eastern end of the area (see PRN 71307). Other details: Sites 41.
