Site of dressing floor & grinder shown on 19C maps at Wheal Fanny mine with two buddles to the southwest at SX42057370. The copper grinder was probably in operation from from the mid 1840s to the late 1850s & may have been replaced by a set of stamps. The site of the water wheel appeared to be next to the buildings at SX42077372 & supplied by a leat (see PRN 71318) carried on a low aqueduct. The survey found no surface evidence of the mine buildings or the water wheel pit apart from a flat area & a 5.5m long x 1.3m high retaining wall. The buddles were found to be of 4m diameter x 0.3m deep with stone faced side walls. Other details: Sites 72 & 73.
