A watching brief was undertaken in 2004 during groundworks for new farm buildings at Henscott. A number of former medieval field boundaries were excavated to the east of the farm. Three truncated parallel ditches on a north-north-west to south-south-east alignment & parallel to the remaining hedgebank boundary were exposed at 20-25m intervals in the southern part of the site. The easternmost ditch was 0.8m wide x 0.1m deep & extended for c50m. Sherds of 13C-15C medieval pottery were recovered from the site.
