Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 117, Figs 7,15,21,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Site of a leat running from SX42917363 to SX42857361 at Wheal Josiah shown on the 1857 Lease map of Devon Great Consols mine. The leat appears to come via anunderground section from the large reservoir pond to the east (see PRN 71377) but the function is uncertain. The survey found the 0.4m wide leat with slight banks 0.4m wide set on slightly raised ground in places. Other details: Site 152.
