Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 177-8 Figs 21,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Earthwork cutting of Agnes' Shaft flat rod cutting from SX43327287 to SX43517358 within which the flat rod & its timbers were sited. The feature dates from c1851 when the water wheel was constructed (see PRN 56091). The survey in 2002 found a 3m wide trench with a deep cutting at SX43467344 to the south of Agnes' Shaft (see PRN 3872). Other details: Site 265.
