Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of a group of large buildings arranged around a small rectangular yard shown on OS 25" (1880s) map to the northwest of Incline Shaft at Wheal Emma mine.


Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 198 Figs 22,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Site of two rectangular buildings shown on the 1867 map with more added by 1884 which may have been a dressing floor at Wheal Emma mine. The survey in 2002 found no evidence of these buildings. Other details: Site 310.
