Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 216 Figs 26,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
Area of canal quarry pits which probably provided material for the construction of the lower bank of the 'Great Leat' (see PRN 51110) although they may represent exploratory costean pits dug after the canal was built. The survey in 2002 found the pits were up to 10m long x up to 4m wide & between 4m - 15m apart. Other details: Site 346.
