'Gullylane Farm' is shown on Ordnance Survey 25 inch (1880s and 1906) maps as a group of buildings around a triangular shaped yard with further buildings to the north, west and south and an orchard to the northeast. Gullylane Farm lies against (outside) the western boundary of Hense Moor survey area and is to be associated with the family of Nicholas Golye, documented in 1333. The farm is potentially of medieval date. The early farm buildings are shown as ‘The Old Farm’ on the current 1:2500 map and Gullylane Farm is housed in new buildings to the north.
