Full description

Watts, S., 2006, Quern (Personal Comment). SDV336259.

Lower stone of pot quern in church museum, in room over north porch. Circular with projecting spout through the side, which has been blocked. Spout appears to be in the form of a face, the ground meal would have been ejected through the mouth. Base is 37.0cm overall diameter and 15.0cm high. The recess for the upper stone is 26.5cm diameter and 7.5cm deep.
