Full description

Buck, C., 2006, New Quay: Archaeological Assessment, 30 (Report - Assessment). SDV336511.

A small building (Site 27) shown on the 1884 Ordnance Survey map of unknown function but probably related to New Quay. The survey in 2006 found an earthwork platform about 4 meters square with a 0.5 meter high downslope bank. Other details: Fig 8.

Houghton, P., 2015, An Archaeological and Historical Report on New Quay Nr Tavistock Devon Volume One (Report - Assessment). SDV363202.

Houghton, P., 2015, An Archaeological and Historical Report on New Quay Nr Tavistock Devon Volume One, 106, fig 8 (Report - Assessment). SDV363202.

At the time of the survey, this building was found to be badly overgrown and difficult to access, so was not recorded. Condition is assumed to be similar to that described by Buck in 2006.
