Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

A V-shaped Rifle Range is shown, with butts at 300 and 600 yards, and meeting just to the north of Castle Gate House.

The line of the rifle range was cut by the North Devon Link Road. Shown as disused on the 1905 25 inch Ordance Survey map, no trace of the range remained on the ground.
