Site of a small circa 6 meter square building shown on 19th century map in a recess on the south side of Old Tiverton Road with a detached rectilinear enclosure circa 14 meters x 20 meters to the west at SS84480108.

Site of a small square building in the western corner of an irregular shaped enclosure along the south side of Old Tiverton Road. The enclosure straddles the old parish boundary between Crediton Hamlets and Crediton.

The 1839 Tithe Map depicts a 'Toll House' within the recess on the south side of Old Tiverton Road. The building is shown on later maps although no longer marked as a toll house. The building is not present on modern maps. Other details: Figs 5-7.
