Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

'Guide Post' marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, to north of 'Oak Dairy' (now Oak Farm) at fork in road with 'Chackrell Lane' leading off the the west and the road to 'Appledore' continuing to the south west. Chackrell Lane now bisected by M5, with the Oak Farm end surviving as field boundaries.
