Site of a milepost shown on 19th century map as 'MP London 177' on the west side of the railway line.

'MP' marked on the 1890 Ordnance Survey 1:10560 map. This refers to a Mile Post marker for the railway indicating 177 miles to London. Other details: Site 19.
