Vis=6/4/1958 (grinsell) covered with trees and bracken. Perhaps a medieval motte or the result of landscape gardening. Diameter: 18 paces, height: 14 feet (grinsell, pdas).

Surrounded by a ditch. A linear bank extends from the mound along the north side of the path to horsehill moor barn (grinsell, arch. Exmoor).
