An early 19th century octagonal slate-hung two storey building with hipped roof.

There is a toll house at the junction of Old and New Launceston roads. It is an early 19th century octagonal slate hung two storey building with an octagonal hipped roof and a central chimney (citing Sheldon 1933, DoE 1950, Kanefsky 1976).

Pixon Cottage. Early 19th century. A former toll-house. Two-storey octagonal slate hung cottage with octagonal hipped roof with central chimney and one-storey portion built on to south-east. Wooden casements. Porch with segmental hood.

In the fork of the new and old Launceston roads half a mile west of Tavistock, facing the new road, an octagonal slate-hung two storey building with a central chimney.

Rosevear, A., 2008, Devon Tollhouses, DV.TAV02 (Un-published). SDV351734.

Former toll house, thought to have been built in 1822 for the Tavistock Turnpike Trust. It is an octagonal, two storey, lodge-type house an open porch. The walls are mainly of hung slate under a pyramidal, slate roof with a central chimney stack.
