Site visit 4th March 2006. An iron finger post dated to circa 1930 with a pyramidal finial. Located on a verge by Locks Cross on the old Barnstaple to Braunton road.
The legend read 'Barnstaple 5' on the left hand arm, 'Saunton 3/ Ilfracombe 8' on the right hand arm, and 'DCC' on the finial.
In a good condition, with black letters on a white background and black bands on the post.
