A milestone is marked as 'M.S. Barnstaple 10' on the First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.

Site visits 11th July 2007 and 22nd March 2018. Milestone located at Trimstone Cross, north of a track, on a grass verge on the east side of the main road. Set up just prior to the closure of the Turnpike Trust in 1879. Inscribed '10/BARUM' from the Medieval Latin for Barnstaple. In fair condition, of worn granite, with chips to the top and right hand edges.
