A finger post (c.1930s) located at Langridge Ford, approximately 1 1/2 miles south west of Atherington, on a grass verge just west of the turn to Barnstaple, leaning back under trees. It was found to be at risk of rot and vibration. The left arm was chipped, and the right arm was faded and worn. The legend read 'Torrington' on the left hand arm, 'Atherington/South Molton' on the right hand arm, 'Chapelton/Barnstaple' on the centre back, and 'Langridge Ford' on the post. Other details: Surveyed 21/5/07.
