A milestone is marked as 'Ottery St Mary 6. M.S' on the First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.

A milestone is marked as 'M.S Ottery St. Mary 6' on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.

A tall, elaborate milestone (c1846) to the north of Manor Road, beside Pebblestone Cottage, against a wall on the west side of the road. The milestone is worn and dirty, and very close to the road edge. There is an Ordnance Survey bench mark on the base. The legend reads 'Ottery 6' on the left hand side, and possibly '1/2 Sidmouth' on the right hand side. Other details: Surveyed 9/11/2005.
