Natcott farmstead shown on 19th century map as a large group of buildings around at least two yards to the west fo the road.

Natcott was mentioned as 'Notecote' in 1238, 'Nottecote' in 1330, 'Nuttecote' in 1492 and 'Nottycott' in 1566.
