Full description
Best, J., 2006, Archaeological Fieldwalking and Trial Trenching for the Proposed Sherford New Community Development, 8 (Report - Excavation). SDV340475.
Two north south aligned ditches were exposed during excavation in Trench 9. One ditch was excavated and measured 0.98 metres wide by 0.44 metres deep with steep sides and a flat base. No artefacts were recovered and they were interpreted as boundaries associated with a former medieval field system. These ditches were identified during the geophysical survey.
